Rondout Creek, with a lighthouse at the entrance, serves as the city's harbor and features more amenities than any harbor between here and New York City. Rondout Yacht Basin is on the north bank of the creek which is a nice quiet place (with NO rock and roll) to dock the Nanseann. A visit to Enterprise and we have wheels for the week.
Old 9W Bridge leads us to Downtown Rondout Waterfront District
Kingston is divided into three sections...Uptown Colonial District, Midtown Living Arts District and Downtown Rondout Waterfront District. This waterfront loves "Loopers"..... This year with all the rain and the Erie Canal being closed for over a month about 50 looper boats were here waiting for the canal to open and they entertained the community with Docktails and potluck dinners. Not sure the restaurants appreciated this but the locals are still talking about it. We are one of the few, if not the only looper, in town at the moment.
