We follow our tracks back out Pointe Au Baril Inlet to Georgian Bay
Marina is empty this morning
Good bye Looper Boats
Pretty place to stop
Sun....a good sign
We meet one boat this morning
This cottage has a beach
Rugged country
Roughing it
What a sight
In early days they used the barrel to mark this inlet
Most of the small-craft routes skirts the shoals in the water completely exposed to Georgian Bay weather. Here we go outside....we are just too big to safely do this section of the route. If it were a calm flat day the Captain could navigate the turns in the maze of islands but with any wind you are "just dumb" to try
Red AA2....we are in Georgian Bay with 2-3 foot sheep
Are you sure you want to do this
14 miles to Red AM2
Course change to Red HH2....just 4 miles to go
We are coming into Byng Inlet
We follow the buoys now
There is no Wall Mart
Think they have roads
Marks the Small-craft route
We go that way tomorrow
But today we go this way
Very pretty
What a view
This is a cute cottage
Wrights Marina.....Full Service Marina....
We have hydro and water
We have laundry for Loonies
Owner lives on site
The town of Britt is 3 miles down the road
We can connect to Wi Fi on the boat
5 Star Marina and they are glad you are here
Canadian Coast Guard goes by
Wright Marina is at Mile 60....we arrived 10:00AM.....will spend the day catching up with our chores......Captain has "Shad" flies to remove from the boat.....
Again we can't make Killarney without anchoring......65 statute miles to go if you follow the small-craft route and we plan on doing that....
Our weatherman, Mike tells us weather is coming Monday from Lake Michigan....20 + winds but Sunday should be good....We love this.....he helped us in the Bahamas and now he checking out Canada for us.....He may be land locked now but still knows how to read the wind and waves....Thank you
