Day 359 July 17 31 mi Fenelon Falls Lock Wall Fenelon Falls ON

54 Degrees on the bridge this morning....sweatshirt weather....but we are tough.
Ralph arrives at 8AM and he and the Captain trace the port engine from the helm to the engine room trying to find the problem.....they find several loose connections and hopefully the one on the sensor on the transmission neutral switch is the one giving us the problem....something like that....
We pay our bill and choked but they did give us free dockage since we were in for repairs and we are off at 10:30AM

Buckhorn Lake to Bobcaygeon

They have a diving platform

Bobcaygeon is built on three islands, and Lock 32
passes right through the center of the village

Folks want to visit...You're from KY????  How did you get here???

Off we go through a narrow channel for the next 2 miles

Lock 34 Fennelon Falls Mile 153.6 with a 24 foot lift

This one runs into the wall

The lock tenders here monitor loading with great care regarding space and safety.  Just because you are in first place on the blue line, don't expect to necessarily load into the lock first.  Rental houseboats might load first for safety reasons....yes, there have been houseboats that end up sideways, wall-to-wall in the lock.  This requires lock tenders to scramble down the slimy ladders to unwedge them.

Flowers on the bridge

Trip to the Grocery Store

Cottages across from us

We are on the East wall with 30 amp and water....new in 2012.....The wall is full
And yes....the Port Engine worked like a charm all day long...
