Day 227-228 May 29-30 New Bern NC

New Bern is a river town and home of Pepsi-Cola.  It is the state's first capital, home of the state's first printing press, home of the first motion picture theater and the first to hang electric Christmas lights above city streets and home of Glen and Virginia.

We are docked at New Bern Grand Marina which is downtown on the Trent River.  Downtown is beautiful and was founded in 1710.....the second oldest city in North Carolina.  Many of the buildings still standing are over 100 years old and we have had so much fun walking around the area.
