New batteries installed and engines serviced. Bottom cleaned and a zinc replaced. It's a boating life. First Mate handled all of this and we can't say enough about the detailed service we received. Very nice folks to work with.

The St. Augustine Lighthouse was built in 1874 on Anastasia Island and is almost identical to the lighthouses at Currituck Beach and Cape Hatteras. The 161-foot brick tower was painted barber-style in black and white spirals. The light is no longer in operation but you can walk up the 219 steps for a view of St. Augustine.

The Dept. of Transportation declared the bridge "structurally deficient and functionally absolute." Residents rallied behind their historic bridge, securing $45 million rehabilitation project to preserve the functionality and life of the bridge. They also insisted the lions remain on the new bridge.

If I were having work done on the boat as we were Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor is the place to come. They have a courtesy car available and the taxi ride to town was $7 going and $6 coming.
If I were just coming to St Augustine I would stay at the Municipal Marina as it is downtown and you can walk anywhere. There is no courtesy car so if you needed provisions you would have to find wheels.
Tower Garden
This is my Mother's Day present. Only my girls could come up with this gift. And only the Captain could agree that it was possible to have. We have completed Stage One. The Captain is working on Stage Two which is power and I will be starting Stage Three. All I can say is "Stay Tuned!!!!"
We leave tomorrow and are headed up the waterway.
