Day 215 May 17 64 mi to St Johns Yacht Harbor Charlestown SC

7:50 AM departure....no wind and the current helped us get off the dock.  Going to be Warm!


Look what came in about 7AM  Yorktown
 
 
Yorktown comes in Port Royal Harbor to Beaufort and will go back out that way
 
From Beaufort we follow Beaufort River to Brickyard Creek and then into the Coosaw River which is unsheltered.  It is one of the most open stretches on the entire South Carolina ICW.  Winds over 10 knots can quickly give rise to a sharp chop.  Today we were in luck and had beautiful weather.

Ashepoo Coosaw Cut Off....about 5.5 feet today
 
 
Any of these rivers lead to ocean and "Sea Island Country"
 
 
A few homes along the waterway..... we are in Low Country
 
 
Brown water is back
 
 
Fenwick Cut which is some of the most forlorn waters in all of coastal South Carolina
 
 
Terns like us....also many dolphins today
