We had to clear Customs today. When we were in Key West we went to the Customs office and signed up with the Small Vessel Reporting System (SVCS) and now we can clear the Nanseann and crew by telephone. We filed a float plan with CBP (Customs Border Protection) in the Bahamas the day before we left and when we arrived at our marina in the states the Captain called and we were given an arrival number and clearance. We did not have to make a physical trip to Customs.
We have a 2013 Customs decal since we are over 30 feet which we obtained for $27 before we left the country. We are OK to go.....
