Day 182 Apr 14 118 mi to Old Bahama Bay Marina West End, The Bahamas

We had planned on leaving Saturday but rain was expected thru our area....plus we heard from Steve and Denise, our Clearwater sailboat friends and they are on their way to Green Turtle Cay.  Great seeing them.....and hearing about their experiences.  They have been in the Exumas since February and two people have learned to sail...well,  they have....it was raining and I forgot the camera....

Red Skies in the morning....sailors take warning

But the sky is beautiful

Sunday ..7:15 AM departure....lovely day to cruise the Abacos

Saddi in her usual spot

Sun coming up....up...up

We are following our bread crumbs past Cooper Town

I haven't moved yet

Colors are beautiful

We are coming around Little Sale Cay

I'll just keep the Captain in his place

All hell broke loose...the swivel on the dinghy broke... point the boat into the wind...put on a life jacket and let's see if we can get the dinghy where we can pull it...and we now have beam seas...what happened to this wonderful day on the Abacos

What next you two....I could fly home

One more stop...dinghy tied off....pulled up...10 mph ...just hope we get there.  Needless to say...the Captain is saying....New Dinghy System is needed.....

There is Old Bahama Bay Marina...we are coming thru Indian Cay Channel....stay on your bread crumb captain....see that reef out there

Ok...we are here....around to the jetty....into Old Bahama Bay Marina....and I'm so glad the dinghy made it....  I really think everyone is glad they are here.....sailboats and trawlers...lumpy...bumpy...no danger but uncomfortable when you didn't expect it.....but that is weather in the Bahamas.  The Marina is full tonight.....everything from sailboats, trawlers, and fishing cruisers,,,,
