Day 183 Apri 15 Old Bahama Bay Marina West End Settlement The Bahamas

We really thought today was our day.....but storms moved in this morning....and after yesterday everyone on the dock decided this was the day to stay in port.  A couple of boats went out to return with/in the half hour....
We can not get Bahamas WiMax here so we are depending upon the marinas' Wi-Fi which has not been working for a couple of days.....but....they are working on it..

Early morning

Rain is coming

The Abacos looks flat....got me

Raining out there....breakfast at the Straw Bar

Clearing but could be lumpy

Dinghy Repaired by the Captain

This will ride across the Atlantic

Final Sunset

Red Skies at Night....Sailor's Delight

Well.....we have been on the boat 6 months.......we have traveled 2120 miles....averaged 9.42 mph and have 225 hours on the engines.  We have loved the Bahamas for the past 6 weeks and will return with a little knowledge under our belts...
WAIT.....WAIT......WAIT.....until the weather is right......
Remember you are on Bahamian Time....if you don't get there today you will next week...
If you want to call the USA get a BTC phone with a prepaid card.....plus is you are on line pop for Bahama WiMax or Out Island Inter.net minutes......
You need deep pockets....everything is shipped in....no WalMart....just Maxwells....Cash is good as they tack a % on your credit card...(especially fuel)
If you eat on your boat....provision.....as the stores do not always have what you needed that day....I love my Engel Freezer.....
The Bahamians are friendly folks....they go out of their way to help you...as the Captain says...."Be Respectful....Be Patient.....Time is a luxury not a commodity" and with that we say Good Night.

What a trip
