Day 393 August 20 14 mi Snug Harbor Marina Pentwater MI

Fog this morning......60 degrees on the bridge...but we are headed to Pentwater....with Satisfaction in the lead

 Fog bank still out there
 
 
 Frankfort was a nice stop
 
 
Each community has their own beach
 
 
Fog bank hugged the coast
 
 
Cement Plant looking over the top of the fog bank
 
 
Pentwater is a small town with a protected harbor
 
 
 The beach is busy
 
 
Well marked entrances to the harbor 
 
 
 Lots of cottages line the inlet
 
 
 This may not be a cottage
 
 
Yacht Club with a wooden boat show this weekend
 
 
Lots of homes around the lake
 
 
City Marina
 
 
Pentwater is a friendly and a quiet town
 
 
 Snug Harbor Marina wraps completely around the point
 
 
The Antler Bar with a cute saying...."Be no working during Drinking Hours"
 
 
Looking for wooden boats...none found......this weekend
 
 
We are waiting for our owner and barking

The local saying is "Where the hell is Pentwater MI"
 
 
Brass Anchor.....great marine store...just ask the Captain
 
 
Main Street runs north and south for 6 blocks

One of our better runs today......Lake Michigan was calm, smooth and behaving herself.  The fog banks were along the coastline and we were about a mile off shore....Pentwater is really cute and we could have spent more time but we are headed south to Chicago......
