Day 386-387 August 13-14 Leland Township Marina Leland MI

We have been waiting for the weather front to move through Leland and for Lake Michigan to settle down so we will have a smooth ride to Frankfort. It was 57 degrees on the bridge this morning.  But the locals say this is summertime.....

Early morning

We went to breakfast at Early Bird

Our Grocery Store

 Beautiful flowers at this shop

Tour Boat coming in for its group

The boat is full

Yes, this car runs on water

Sunset tells the weather story for tonight

Tour boat going to North Manitou Island (primitive camping)

This morning was 57 degrees but you can't pass up the Farmer's Market

Green beans, tomatoes and corn....summer is coming

Flowers everywhere

Even on the boat house

Riverside "Fine" Dining

More flowers on the bridge

Lodge in Fish Town

Old Time Fishing boat (for winter)

One person owns Fish Town and he doesn't allow any "junk" to be sold

Think he lives here and counts his profits each day

Leland is a busy place come July and August

We enjoyed the people and the town but are ready to head south toward Chicago......We will leave tomorrow AM....the weather man says it is "going to be nice" with little wind and sunshine....
