Day 373 July 31 33 mi Gore Bay Marina Gore Bay ON

Heat wave this morning....57 degrees
Breakfast at Loco Beanz which is the busiest stop in town.....everyone comes for coffee and a breakfast sandwitch or sweet roll....

Early rain this morning

Stop at Wally's Fuel Dock

10AM departure

We have decided upon the Southern route across the North Channel.....really think we have seen every rock we can and since we do not anchor finding a marina on the northern route is limited and weather is the name of the game

2 to 3 foot sheep this morning

No sun but still pretty

Coming around Clapperton Island

The famous Benjamins Islands

Too rough to go inside and see the beauty

Have to go through the rocks which is not recommended on a windy day

We rock and roll to Gore Bay......6 boats came in at the same time

Finally a smooth ride inside the bay

Small town....along the waterfront

Big Marine Store

Gore Bay Marina

Procurment officer Freya waved her magic wand producing a 16 liter box of red wine (for US this equals 21 750ml bottles)  This is the biggest box of wine we have ever seen.  We are working on it

Our plans......depending upon the weather.....Meldrum Bay is 32 miles down the waterway and has a marina.......then on to Drummond which is another 30+ miles to clear US customs....
We want to work our way to Mackinaw City where we can have mail delivered and work on our stops along the East Coast of Lake Michigan.....into Chicago by Labor Day......
