Day 388 August 15 45 mi Jacobson Marina Frankfort MI

We depart Leland at 6:50AM looking for a smooth ride and maybe some warmer weather......48 degrees on the bridge this morning....

The shoreline from Leland to Frankfort is part of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Park.  They say the 480-foot-tall sand dunes, white beaches and a backdrop of forests, views from the lake are simply breath-taking.......that is what we want to see....

North Manitou Island is part of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Park.  The 15,000-acre island is popular for camping, backpacking, swimming, fishing and deer hunting.  Saddi opted for the deer hunting.

Frankfort is located at the narrowest part of Lake Michigan.  It is a popular destination for boaters crossing the lake to and from Wisconsin.....
