It isn't raining....58 degrees.....light wind.....and they have dropped the water level about 2 feet between Locks 6 and 7......Fran and Sue see us off and we give them "greens" from the tower garden.

Amsterdam was once home to the Mohawk Carpet Mills. Competition destroyed this once vibrant business and fire finished off the mill buildings. One famous past resident of this town is Kirk Douglas, the actor. Hurricane Irene hit this area hard and they are still recovering....
