Warren Street in Hudson is like being on the Atlantic Seaboard. The city still reflects its heritage as a whaling port in the early 19th century. Fearing a British retaliation after the American Revolution, a group of Nantucket whalers moved inland to the Hudson River shoreline and incorporated a city in 1785. Today there are more than 70 antique shops that bring the New York City designers to town. Sorry to say my pictures aren't that great....too much sun...

Yesterday we drove Route 9W North and today we drove Route 9W South.....I don't think we missed an inch of the Hudson Valley this stop. When the Captain turned in the car....690 miles!!! Oh Me!!!

Our stay in Kingston has been very enjoyable. Tomorrow we will move into the Upper Hudson Valley to Albany and visit the capital city.
