The Captain has been very busy.....fixing.....fixing....fixing...
John, our mechanic, has been working on the Trim Tab that was in the "down " position and wouldn't move. He fixed the pump that had a crack but that didn't solve the problem so he called Diver Rob to the rescue. Appears we hit a crab pot as Rob found some line on the prop and the trap hit the Trim Tab in the process.
Rob and John
We didn't want to pull the boat so Rob repaired the screws under water. They used a drill, wrapped in a zip-lock bag and it worked to get the old screws out and the new screws in. Rob said it was a first for him.
Check the bottom while you're there
The first mate has been very busy provisioning....provisioning.....Look at my new Engel.....
Saddi has been very busy....sleeping...sleeping...sleeping....We re-read the Bahama requirements for DOGS and Saddi will visit the Vet here in Marathon....You must have your dog checked by a VET within 48 hours of departing for the Bahamas.....Saddi visited the Vet before leaving Illinois and has her papers and shots but we will have her poop tested and she will be checked over to make sure she has no parasites....So when we leave Monday we are headed to the Bahamas.....our arrival will depend upon the weather.
I'm OK
