Day 117-123 Feb 8-14 Sombrero Resort and Marina

It is hard to believe we are in our third week in the Keys......so much to see and do.....beautiful weather....warm...sunny and a clear blue sky...

We made a trip to Tavernier so the Captain could get his Drug test.   It's time for him to renew his captain's license and he had a "supervised" test.....won't say anymore....

On our way back we stopped in Islamoraada at Lor-e-lei for lunch....one of our favorite spots.  Plus "Hooked On Books" and World Wide Sportsman (Bass Pro) Shop.....Full day

Phone call from Steve and Denise....."we are entering Boot Key Harbor"  Must say we were happy to hear from them.  We met these two at Clearwater Beach and spent Christmas with them.  Steve tells the story that he bought a 32 ft sailboat and the book "Sailing for Dummies" and has come down the rivers (like us) and crossed to Clearwater.  Later we saw them in Fort Myers but from there they made a direct crossing to the Dry Tortugas (125 mi)....blue water....  Weather caught them for 8 days and of course the Dry Tortugas has no facilities.  There is a tour boat that comes from Key West (weather permitting) so Steve had someone call Mike to let us all know they were there and alive. For sure he is a fast learner.

Dinner with AB and Betty who are visiting Skip and Connie.....  Rik, Skip and AB rode their Harleys to Sturgis one year with a group of guys.  Rik put mother on the back of his bike and the group went to dinner at the VFW.  You think "Della" was having fun!!!!!  Wish I had a copy of her picture to add.
